Vice President In India Article 63 to 75

The Vice President is the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. When the President is absent, the Vice President does the work of the country. The salary of the Vice President is paid as a member of the Rajya Sabha.

What is Article 67 of the Indian Constitution ?

Article 67 say that the tenure of the President is usually one year but his successor has not been elected. So he will remain in his posts till then. until his successor is elected. Can be removed by impeachment even before 5 years.
