The Solid State [Unit- 1]

First chapter of board classes class 12th in chemistry book it is very easy to compare the crystals solids and magnetic behaviour of solid the most important topic in this chapter is impurity defects that is Schotky defect and frenkel defect and crystal lattice, crystal systems.

 Solid have two types

1- Crystalline Solid
2- Amorphorus Solid

Difference between crystalline solid and amorphous solid  important question for board examination that is CBSE and other state board exam.

Types of the crystal system is, the axial ratio, axial angles and unit cells

C, T, O,M, T, R, H

And types of symmetry in crystals, coordination number, significances of lattice point, radius ratio, paramagnetic and diamagnetic in nature.

But now we have class 11th notes of class 11th. Let us know about your friends and get information of your ladies. Is a little solid state chemistry subject first chapter and very ised chaptar. Solid state is your two types. Solid solid and amarpay solid solid solid solid is a rabad agreement, so you should pay attention to pictures such as your picture BCC center of symmetry FCC & 7 crystal systems, and one is to note crystal lights are your 14 and crystal systems are with you, which is how to remember the crystal system.

Write, don 't cut, whose news is cubic regular monocleic most of these cubic is smart trickle but tray clinic is not your symmetry since its angles do not remain impermeable and downstream in text efficients for board exams in which schotkey defect defect and downstream in text efficients for board exams,

Unit cell  the smallest portion of crystal lattice when it depend or repeated in different direction to complete its lattice.

Seven types of Crystal system and forteen types of crystal lattice. .

[ Radius ratio  = ratio of cation / ration of anion ]

The important question of radius ratio is how to calculate and find the octahedral voids and tetrahedral voids please note that points.

Surface Chemistry [Unit- 5]

This chapter is based on basic knowledge of class-10.These chapter is important for your competitive exam i.e IIT,JEE,NDA AND NEET competitive exam.In this we study the Chemical Kinetics

Surface chemistry deals with phenomena that occur at the surfaces or interfaces. The interface or surface is represented by separating the bulk phases by a hyphen or a slash. For example, the interface between a solid and a gas may be represented by solid-gas or solid/gas. Due to complete miscibility, there is no interface between the gases. The bulk phases that we come across in surface chemistry may be pure compounds or solutions.

Exercises:-

1Distinguish between the meaning of the terms adsorption and absorption.

2)What is the difference between physisorption and chemisorption?

3) Give reason why a finely divided substance is more effective as an adsorbent.

4) What are the factors which influence the adsorption of a gas on a solid?

5) What is an adsorption isotherm? Describe Freundlich adsorption isotherm.

6) What modification can you suggest in the Hardy Schulze law?

7) What do you understand by activation of adsorbent? How is it achieved?

8) Give four examples of heterogeneous catalysis.

Class- 12

Unit- 1 (Electrostatics notes)

Written by Aniketncert

Link given last of the page.

The Electrostatic Field-

To calculate the force exerted by some electric charges, q1, q2, q3, ... (the source charges) on
another charge Q (the test charge) .

We can use the principle of superposition. This principles tates that the interaction between any two charges is completely unaffected by the presence of other charges. The force exerted on Q by q1, q2, and q3 (see Figure) 00is therefore equal to the vector sum of the force F 1 exerted by q1 on Q, the force F2 exerted by q2 on Q, and the force F3 exerted by q3 on Q.

The force exerted by a charged particle on another charged particle depends on their separation distance, on their velocities and on their accelerations. In this Chapter we will consider the special case in which the sourcecharges are stationary.

The electric field produced by stationary source charges is called and electrostatic field. The electric field at a particular point is a vector whose magnitude is proportional to the total Force acting on a test charge located at that point, and whose direction is equal to the direction of the force acting on a positive test charge. The electric field E , generated by a collection of
source charges, is defined as
E = FQ

where F is the total electric force exerted by the source charges on the test charge Q. It is
assumed that the test charge Q is small and therefore does not change the distribution of the
source charges. The total force exerted by the source charges on the test charge is equal to

F = F 1 + F 2 + F 3 + ... = 1

In most applications the source charges are not discrete, but are distributed continuously over
some region. The following three different distributions will be used in this course:

1. line charge l: the charge per unit length.

2. surface charge s: the charge per unit area.

3. volume charge r: the charge per unit volume.

This chapter is based on basic knowledge of class-11.These chapter is important for your competitive exam i.e IIT,JEE,NDA AND NEET competitive exam.In this we study this chapter in previous class- 11

Some topic is related to class 10th that is Ohm's law resistance conductivity and specific conductance molar conductance. We know that one good book is equal to hundred good friends but one good friend is equal to library. This thought means to help your friend to share this notes and poor peoples.

Electrochemistry is the branch of physical chemistry which deal with study of cells and cell potential. Cell can be divided in three parts electrolytic electrolyte and EMF. examination strong electrolyte weak electrolyte and numerical are very important for board examination and competitive examinations. These notes is made with the help of some books that is S Dinesh, Pradeep and modern book. Notes PDF very easy language that help us to to easily read.
