On the advice of K.C Niyogii Committe planning commision was established in 1950.Planning Commision is non statuary.In 2014 Indian Govt ended tyhe planning commision. In 1 JANURARY 2015 NITI AYOG was established.

NITI (National Institute For Transfering India) : -

Head Quarter in Delhi.

Prime Minister is an Ex-offico chairman of NITI.

Concept was taken by Russia. 

1st Phase :- 

1st in year 1951-1956

2nd in year 1956-1961

3rd in year 1961-1966

1st break in year 1966-1969

2nd Phase :-

4th in year 1969-1974

5th in year 1974-1978

2nd break in year 1978-1980

3rd Phase :-

6th in year 1980-1985

7th in year 1985-1980

3rd break in year 1990-1992

4th Phase :-

8th in year 1992-1997

9th in year 1997-2002

10th in year 2002-1007

11th in year 2007-2012

12th in year 2012-2017

1- First Five Year Plan :- 

• Year 1951-1956
• Model based on Harmod Domar Model.
• Objective is development of agriculture and irrigation.
• In 1952,Indian Govt launched CDP (Community Development Program) for the rural development.
• Govt also launched the work of 3 Dams..
• Damodhar Valley Project at damodar river in Jharkhand,Chhattishgarh,West Bengal.
• Bhakra Nangal Dam at satluj river in Punjab.
• Hirrakhund Dam in mahanandi river in state odhissa.

2- Second Five Year Plan :-

Concept borrowed by Russia 

• year in 1956-1961
• Model based on the P.C Mahalanobis ( Father of statstics)
• Main Objective is Development of Industries.

Important Facts :-

In 1956 Govt Introduce the " New Industrial Policy ". Government start the construction "Steel plant". 

1. Rourkela in state Odisha the helping nation is Germany
2. Durgapur in state of West Bengal in helping nation United Kingdom 
3. Bhilai in state chhattisgarh helping nation is Russia.

In 1959 government start DD National channel.

3- Third Five year plan :- 

• In year 1961 to 1966
• 1961 Indo China war in this war China win.
• 1964 death of prime minister pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
• 1964 Lal Bahadur Shastri new prime minister in India.
• In 1965 Indo Pak war.
• In 1965 Drough.

In This Reason Indian economical state was unstable.

• In 1966 Taskent Agreement.
• Plan holiday in 1966 to 1969.
• In 1966 to 1967 "Green revolution" launched the father of green revolution is Dr MS swaminath and the world of green revolution father is Norman borlang.
• New technology seeds high field variety.

4- Fourth Five year plan :- 

•  year 1969 to 1975 

Important fact:- 

• 1969 government nationalised 14 banks.
• 1970 government launched operation flood.Under this flood government lodge "white resolution". Father of Amul Company is Dr V.Kurien.The full form of Amul is Anand Milk Union Ltd. After this India become largest producer of milk.
