Strecker Synthesis : Preparation of amino acid

Strecker Synthesis:- 

An aldehyde is treated with the hydrogen cyanide to form corsponding cyanohydria which is made to react with ammonia to give an α amino nitrile hydrolysis of the nitride give as α amino acid.
