Organometallic Compounds Notes Pdf Here BSC/MSC CEHEMISTRY

Image
Introduction:-  The branch of chemistry which deal with the study of organometallic compounds only transition metal involves in organometallic compounds. Organometallic compound:-   Those compound in which one or more atom directly attached to carbon atom called as organometallic compounds for example methyl lithium, dimethyl zinc, tetraethyl lead. Biologically vitamin b12 are organometallic compound. How to find compound is organometallic compound or not. It can be defined by the electronegativity so we need to learn the electronenegatively table. If the electronegativity less than 2.5 it mean they have organometallic compound so so if electronegativity greater than 2.5 it mean they have not organometallic compound. To see the image Mixed Organometallic Compound:-   Those organometallic compound which make bond between metal and carbon as well as other covalent or ionic bond between metal and other carbon atom. For example grignard reagent that is alkyl magnesium halide. K...

To determine the heat capacity of the calorimeter and enthalpy of neutralization of hydrochloric acid and with sodium hydroxide

Image
Aim:-  To determine the heat capacity of the calorimeter and enthalpy of neutralization of hydrochloric acid and with sodium hydroxide. Apparatus:- A Calorimeter,0.1 molar hydrochloric acid,0.1 mol sodium hydroxide,0.1 molar oxalic acid, thermometer, burette, pipette, titration flask, two volumetric flask, two beaker,pro-pipetter,measuring cylinder,  stopwatch. Theory:-  The heat capacity of a defined system is the amount of heat needed to raise the temperature of the system by 1 degree. It is expressed in units of thermal energy per degree temperature to add in analysis of system have certain specific dimension molar heat capacity and specific heat capacity can be used to be measured the heat capacity of the reaction a calorimeter must be used the water equivalent of calorimeter can be found out by the formula. The enthalpy of neutralization is the enthalpy that occur when one gram equivalent of an acid and one gram equivalent of base undergo a neutralization reaction to form...

To find the water equivalent of a given calorimeter

Image
Aim:- To  find the water equivalent of a given calorimeter. Apparatus:-  Calorimeter,thermometer,100ml beaker measuring cylinder, stirrer, stop watch Theory:- The heat capacity of a defined system is the amount of heat needed to raise the system temperature by one degree. It is expressed in units of thermal energy per degree temperature. A calorimeteris a scientific device used to measure changes in heat during chemical reaction and the heat capacity of different substances. Procedure:-  Measure 100ml of water in measuring cylinder. Transfer it to be calorimeter fitted with stirrer and thermometer. temperature is noted at every half minute till it become constant or for 5 minut at least. Now heat hundred ml of water in a beaker upto 60 to 65 degree Celsius. Again the temperature is noted after every 30 seconds for 5 minutes. Now add this water into cal metre and note the temperature of the mixture every 30 seconds for 5 minutes similarly take reading for 200ml of cold at ro...
