Postuates Of Kinetic Molecular Theory of Gases By Aniket Ncert

Kinetic Molecular Theory of Gases-
  1. A gas is made up of a lot of tiny, spherical particles that are extremely small.
  2. Volume occupied by the molecules is minimal in contrast to the entire volume of the gas.
  3. The rapid, absolutely random motion of the molecules. They bump into each other as well as the vessel's sides as they move. The gas is under pressure because to molecule collisions with the vessel walls.
  4. Because the molecules are fully elastic, there is no energy loss when they clash with one another and the vessel's sides.
  5. The moving molecules are subject to the principles of classical mechanics, particularly Newton's second law of motion.
  6. There is no attraction between objects or the molecules are moving independently of one another due to repulsion.
  7. A specific molecule may have energy at any one time that ranges between very low and very high, but the average kinetic energy is proportional to the absolute temperature of the gas and is therefore constant at a given temperature.
