Physical division of India :- 

200 crore years ago, all the land in the world was at one place, it was called Panjiya and the water was called Pathalasia, then after 200 years, the panjiya broke, Equator 0 degree above Penjiya :- Angaro,Equator 0 degree below Penjiya :- Gondwana.

Physical division of India can be divided in to 6 divisions :- 

1. The Northern and Eastern mountain
2. The Northern Plan
3. The Peninsular Plateau
4. The Indian Desert
5. The Coastal Plan
6. The Islands

Himalaya  (Ice-Home) :- 

• Equator 0 degree above Penjiya :-  Angaro
• Equator 0 degree below Penjiya :-  Gondwana

1. Trans Himalaya
2. Great Himalaya
3. Middle Himalaya
4. Shivalik Himalaya

Trans Himalaya :- 

• Trans Himalaya lie on the northern of the Great Himalaya Bordering Tibet.
• Some important ranges of this zone are karakoram,Ladakh,Zaskar.
• This is the largest snow field outside the polar region.
• Oldest range of himalaya
• Other name is Tibet Himalaya
• Karakoram range is located in the Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK), Siachen (72Km) ,Biato (63km) and Hispar (61 km) are four major glaciers in the Karakoram Range
• K2 is the highest peak of karakoram mountain range,K2 also called as Godwin Ostist.
• Rakaposhi is one of the world steepest mountain peak located in the ladakh range.
• Indus river flow between Zaskar and Ladakh range and form the deepest Gorge (5200m) in India by cutting Ladakh range at Bunji.

Great Himalaya :- 

• Great Himalaya also known as the Inner Himalayas or Himadri
• Great Himalaya total height 2400 Km and length 6100m.
• Mount Everest & Sagarmatha (Nepal Name) is the highest peak in the world located in Great Himalaya Height 8848m.
